ABOUT ME
Mom, Registered Nurse, Social Media Influencer
My name is Sherri McNeil and I am a mom of two and a Registered Nurse. My passion for nursing has opened so many doors for me, both personally and professionally, and I am so excited to share that knowledge with you. Every Step Nurse was established in 2021 as an outlet for those interested in nursing, and has grown into something more amazing than I ever could have imagined. I am so thankful for the relationships I have created and cannot wait to continue to share this journey with you.
MY EXPERIENCE
I started my nursing career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I was a CNA for five years working at an Assisted Living Facility. Working as a CNA showed me hands care that you can't learn from anywhere. As a CNA, I wanted to educate myself more in the world of healthcare. I learned about an 18-month LPN program. I applied and after passing my TEAS, I got in! I was an LPN for seven years and during my time as an LPN, I worked at a Pediatric doctor's office for one year and also a Skilled Nursing Facility for the rest of my career. When my Skilled Nursing Facility was closing, I thought this would be the idea time for me to go back to school for my Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse. I'm proud to say I've been a Registered Nurse for nine years, recently obtaining my Bachelors Degree in 2022. During my Bachelors Program I knew that I was going to back to school for my NP. I was no longer taking breaks to reach my goals. I started my NP program fall of 2023.
During my career in nursing I've worked in many settings, specialties, and was a Department Head as a Staff Educator.
My years of experience has molded me into the nurse I am today, in hopes to pour into the next generation of future nurses.
